Pre-release
A transfer isn't finished until the server says so.
Fluxfer is a dual-pane file manager and transfer client for macOS: SFTP, FTP and FTPS. It resumes only when it can prove the file is unchanged, and it stops and asks instead of guessing.
Everything a transfer client should have, kept honest
Three protocols, tested twice
SFTP, FTP, and FTPS explicit and implicit. Each is tested against two independent server implementations.
Two panes, with tabs
Tabs that survive a relaunch, brief and detailed views, a directory tree, a hotlist of favourite folders and synchronised browsing.
Keyboard first
A Total Commander preset and a macOS preset. Every command is rebindable, with a warning before two commands share a key.
A queue that survives
Pause, continue, cancel, retry only what failed. A killed process or a Mac that went to sleep leaves a queue that comes back honest.
Compare and synchronise
Compare folders or files by content and synchronise one way or both, from a plan you review first. A file changed on both sides is a conflict you settle.
SSH, fully
Passwords, keys, the running ssh-agent and one-time codes. Jump hosts with each hop trusted on its own, and an SSH terminal in its own window.
Built around one idea
The rules below are not settings. They are why Fluxfer exists.
Completed means finalized
A byte count on your side is not proof the server finished. A transfer is marked done only after the finalizing step is confirmed.
Resume is negotiated
Fluxfer appends to a partial file only when it recognises the file as its own, the source is unchanged and the partial data checks out. Anything uncertain goes to you.
It says how sure it is
Every result is labelled size checked, checksum verified or unverified. An encrypted connection is not presented as a comparison of both ends.
No quiet downgrades
FTPS is never silently turned into FTP. A changed SSH host key or a failed certificate check stops the session.
Secrets stay in the Keychain
Passwords and keys are stored there and nowhere else. Logs are redacted as they are written.
Requirements
- macOS 14 or later
- Apple silicon
- English and Polish interface
A 14-day trial runs the full app. When it ends, your settings, profiles and diagnostics stay available.
